Telangana earmarks Rs 1,100 crore for Hyderabad Metro in 2026-27 Budget

The Telangana government allocated Rs 1,100 crore for the Hyderabad Metro Rail project in the 2026-27 state budget. Of this, Rs 600 crore is designated for Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-II, while Rs 500 crore will be extended as loans to Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL). The allocation supports the state's push to expand the city's mass transit network after taking control of Phase-I.
